The Quarter Bistro - Cincinnati

We visit this restaurant regularly and enjoy its European charm. It was hot outside, so we were the only ones sitting outdoors while the rest of Cincinnati crowded inside in the air conditioning on a Friday night. Everything was great, as always, they never disappoint. However, the bees and mosquitoes can be a nuisance, so be cautious of that. The bean loaf was average at best. The glaze tasted like ketchup jam and the loaf was a bit flavorless. The swordfish, on the other hand, was delicious with a nice sweet glaze. The prices may be a bit high for the portion size, but you come here for the overall experience, not just the food. Leia provided excellent service, and we had a wonderful experience as usual.

The service at the bar was extremely rude and inattentive. We decided not to stay. Although we have enjoyed dining at this restaurant before, we probably won't be going back. Service rating: 1 star.

This charming restaurant is located in Mariemont Square, directly across from the Mariemont Inn. The service was top-notch and the restaurant itself is quite lovely. They offer a beautiful outdoor patio for seating in the front of the restaurant. Our server was attentive to the fact that we had children with us and brought out bread early, which was a thoughtful gesture. The food was generally delicious, but it felt a bit overpriced. For example, the shrimp tempura was tasty but pricey at $20 for just three pieces of shrimp. The mussels were a larger portion and equally delicious. The calamari appetizer was also a hit. I opted for the burger, which was decent but at $17, I felt it was a bit expensive. The truffle fries were a nice upgrade though. My wife tried the short rib special, which was flavorful but the portion size seemed small for the $43 price tag. Overall, our dining experience was enjoyable, largely due to the excellent service. The food was good, but it felt like we were paying a premium for the location.

The food is fantastic and the service is exceptional. The interior is very calming and the outdoor seating is delightful.
