Pasta Americana - Cincinnati

For the price of the meals I expected more food. I shouldve ordered 2 of Cajun chicken pasta because it left my guest hungry. I sacrificed n gave them mine!! Cant be convinced to try this place ever again. Had surgery cant drive, otherwise I wouldve went to restaurant to complain in person!!

The Parmesan Chicken Mac ‘n Cheese was so good when I came back in two weeks I had to get it again.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs! The shrimp was undercooked and cold, the sausage was burnt and overcooked, and the chicken was dry, overcooked, and lacking any seasoning. The peas in the carbonara were hard and undercooked, and the mushrooms tasted like they came straight from a can. The pasta was completely flavorless and the prices are outrageous. They charged $2.49 for a Coke and sent it in a tiny to-go cup. This seems either like a scam or a restaurant that is poorly managed. I couldn't even manage to take more than a few bites, it was that awful. Do yourself a favor and skip this place!

Overall, I'd rate the restaurant an 8 out of 10. It was good but has room for improvement. The Meaty Baked Penne turned out to be fettuccine instead, and while the meatballs were tasty, the sausage was quite bland. I would recommend using a better Italian sausage next time that has a bit more texture. The shrimp in the Parmesan Shrimp Pasta were well-seasoned but small, and there just weren't enough of them. For an extra $3, the "Add a Grilled Shrimp Skewer" only included four small shrimp, which felt a bit underwhelming. The flavors were nice, but four shrimp just doesn't seem like enough. On a positive note, I appreciated the use of dark rye for the croutons in the Caesar Salad, although a few more would have been nice. Also, it was great to see Barq's Root Beer available as a drink option.
