Where one they not only had a full menu of many varieties of entrees appetizers, it has been reduced quite a bit and the chef removes items at will but doesn't change the offered menu on their website. More importantly, the restaurant no longer has multiple specials for the evening which once we're the signature dishes that Jean Robert put his love into. The lobster salad that was always the signature starter for most regulars is gone, even though the website still teases you as an offering. Their unique fish dishes as specials that once brought you back frequently is now only cod, which is the bottom of the fish chain in both taste and expense. I fear this once fantastic restaurant may be gone soon as the current chef isn't making it. The service is still excellent but they are understaffed. We gave 4 stars only in our memory of how this establishment was once under Jean Robert. They need to turn this around quickly and bring back all they were once noted for.

What a wonderful night at Bar A Boeuf! Our server was great with timing, recommendations and generally more charming than the law should allow. As has been our experience here, the food was of the highest quality and delicious. The foie gras special was perfectly composed and surprising in its flavor. The same could be said of the tarte tintin, topped with a salty white cheese. Can't wait to come back and try other menu items.
Truly outstanding. Food, ambience, service was terrific. Wines at reasonable restaurant prices. Excellent overall.
