Fort Mitchell Public House - Cincinnati

I had a reservation for 6:30 on a Saturday but arrived a bit early. That wasn’t an issue at all—our table was ready for us. The staff was cheerful and welcoming. Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent, especially the pumpkin caramel cheesecake for dessert. I will definitely return.

The patio and ambiance were fantastic, and we were seated promptly. However, the Old Fashioned, which is featured as the top cocktail on the menu, was quite disappointing. I've encountered my fair share of poorly crafted Old Fashioneds, but this one was so bad that I felt the need to send it back. On a positive note, the appetizers, specifically the pretzels and corn fritters, were excellent. Unfortunately, my choice of the Cajun bourbon filet tips was a mistake. I’d consider returning to the restaurant, but I think I would stick to just ordering a beer and a burger next time.

I ordered the Cajun quesadilla appetizer and added a side of fries, which made for a perfect lunch! The service was friendly and prompt, and the prices were excellent for the quality of food. I highly recommend this place!

Had lunch recently on a weekday and overall good experience. We sat outside on the patio, which was nice and every table was filled. Our server was friendly and prompt and food came out quickly. We tried the Nashville Hot Chicken Wrap and the Italian Sub. The chicken wrap was underwhelming a small amount of fried chicken, a few pieces of cabbage, and a little cheese. I?d recommend increasing all of the above and really loading that thing up, especially the cabbage for a good crunch, and try tossing the chicken in some sauce prior to wrapping and serve with a side of ranch or blue cheese. That would bump it up a few notches and make it memorable! The flavor wasn?t big and it wasn?t hot at all for having ?hot? in the name. The Italian sub was pretty good, but a lot of bread, so the filling to bread ratio was off. The Saratoga chips were pretty good. Perhaps these just weren?t the best items on the menu, as many other reviewers seem to have had great food. But it sounds like this place is much improved from what it used to be per a few following conversations with local diners.

I've never been here before and I wanted to check it out. Menu was varied and great. I got the apple walnut salad with grilled chicken with balsamic dressing in place of the raspberry. Perfect ratios of chicken to cranberries to salad. Very delicious. I also got a side of Saratoga chips. My only complaint was the BBQ sauce was super sweet and that's just not my personal favorite. Otherwise, great waitresses and a friendly atmosphere!
