El Asadero Mexican Grill - Cincinnati

The food was VERY good, and we are glad that we at least gave the place a shot. We went in because we saw on their online menu that they had tres leches, which is pretty tough to find at mexican restaurants near us. It said $5.99 on the online menu, but in the place it was $9.99, which is insane for one SMALL piece of cake. I get that it 's probably made in house, but... Come on. We were also disappointed that we were charged a $2.00 fee because my husband ordered a Modelo and the waiter brought it over in a glass and said that they were out of bottles and therefore just brought the glass and charged us the $2.00 Open Liquor charge. Why was this passed onto us? It was not our fault that there wasnt a bottle available, and this wasnt explained to us before the glass was brought. One huge upside is that they carry things other places do not (like the tres leches, which.. I can get for the $5.99 price point at Tortilla Garcia.. such as lettuce wrap tacos, and Impossible meat nachos. I can 't eat beef/pork so that is a HUGE plus. The environment is clean, especially the bathrooms, and the staff is nice, but I am very disappointed in us paying nearly $100 for a dinner for 2 and a portion of it was just stupid things that we didn 't realize until we got the check... I was really excited to try the food but I had to send it back because the order was wrong. The staff never came back to fix it so after about 10 minutes and having to walk to reception, I decided I no longer wanted it and to just send it back obviously 10 minutes later and cold The super nice lady that helped the waitress tried to tell me that I had to still pay for it because I had ordered it. Keep in mind it 's not what I ordered and I had not even touched one bite of it. After some debate and a I 'll have to get my manager they refunded the dinner but still charged me for the tea. $4. Pretty pricey tea and a totally terrible experience overall. Don 't recommend Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
