The weather was lovely, so we decided to sit outside on the patio, which had a great atmosphere. My coworker and I both ordered the bananas Foster pancakes, which were enormous, along with eggs. The eggs were standard, but the pancakes were tasty, although they could have used a bit more syrup or caramel. Unfortunately, my coworker's coffee was not refilled, and no one told us if we were supposed to do it ourselves. This is the only reason we didn't give the restaurant five stars. I would still recommend it and plan to go back to try the apple pie pancakes. Overall: - Service: 4/5 - Atmosphere: 5/5 - Recommended dish: Pancakes - Price per person: $10–$20 - Meal type: Breakfast
I dined at this restaurant after craving Eggs Benedict (I haven't tried making it myself). The parking lot designated for the restaurant is small, but there is a larger lot across the street with plenty of parking. You can choose to sit inside, on the porch, or on the lawn. Be cautious as the lawn may be muddy if it rained heavily the day before. It took some time to place my order, as I visited on a Sunday around 11-12. They only offered regular coffee, no lattes or specialty drinks. They ran out of banana foster while I was there, and the food took a little while to arrive, but I expected this due to the small kitchen and busy atmosphere. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of my meal before digging in. There are train tracks nearby, and the trains sounded their horns, but it wasn't too loud on the porch where I sat. Dogs are welcome on the lawn, although I'm not sure about the porch. Orders must be placed inside, and the prices are a bit on the high side, but the restaurant itself is charming.
We waited for nearly 40 minutes for our food. While my husband's dish was hot, my plate of eggs Benedict was cold and difficult to eat with plastic utensils. We were disappointed with the experience. Overall, we rated the food a 3, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 5.
Great establishment, but it wasn't fun to stand there and have someone from the kitchen come up in front of me while at the register to squawk at the cashier about how to ring something up. There is a time and place for that. Other than that, food is always amazing. Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5
