Sushiya - Chula Vista

Once inside, we waited for about 20 minutes before being seated. The venue was nicer than I had anticipated, featuring TVs all around, a sushi bar, and ample space for larger parties. I was very impressed with the variety and options available on the menu. I ordered the Teriyaki Salmon Plate along with a Philadelphia Roll, while my husband opted for the Black Pepper Chicken Plate. Both meals came with a side salad, miso soup, and rice. The Philadelphia Roll was truly one of the best I’ve ever had! The salmon was fresh, and the creamy, sweet cream cheese paired beautifully with it. Plus, I was excited to discover that some rolls are 50% off for dine-in customers! We ended up getting two rolls for under $10! Everything was fantastic—the service, the ambiance, and especially the food. I'm already thinking about returning for more of their delicious rolls!

The sushi was fresh and absolutely delicious. The potstickers were unremarkable, but the miso soup was good. The waitstaff made a genuine effort to be quick, efficient, and accommodating. However, despite their efforts, there was a bit of a wait after being seated to even place a drink order. They might want to consider hiring additional staff just for cleaning tables, as that could allow the servers to be a bit more attentive. Regardless, we will definitely be dining here again!

I dined here for the third time on Saturday, and I have to say that they far exceeded what others have said. Each time, my sushi arrived within 10 minutes. The waiter was incredibly kind and attentive, and the food was excellent—no complaints at all!

The lunch special boggi was delicious! Our server was friendly and accommodating to my dietary needs. The weekday lunch special offers great value and a satisfying portion that left me quite happy. Highly recommended!

I wish I could give this place zero stars. We arrived well before the lunch menu ended, but were told we had to wait to be seated, despite the fact that the lunch menu might end soon. When I asked if we could still order from the lunch menu since we arrived at 3:20, the server said no. She was quite rude and had the audacity to have an attitude about it.
