Hungry Hank's Deli - Chula Vista

I've been enjoying sandwiches from this place for 40 years. Back when I worked as an auto parts driver behind the Mobil gas station on 3rd L. St, I tried every sandwich they offered, and they were all fantastic. Sure, the prices have increased a lot over the years, but that's true for everything these days. Definitely get your sandwich here—you won't regret it!

I was waiting in line for about ten minutes when someone from the back yelled at me to move because the line didn't go that way. It would have been nice if they had mentioned this as soon as I arrived, rather than being rude. There was also a lady with green hair and tattoos who was even more disrespectful. She came out and loudly announced that the line was over there while shaking her head at me. It would make sense to put up signs to prevent confusion and avoid having customers berated by your staff. The woman with the green hair even looked at me as if I were foolish. Just remember, she’s the one working at a sandwich shop!

Hank's is my top choice for sandwiches in California. Stop by and try the Toasted Hankster on a French roll!

Good mom and pop shop. Sandwiches are really good. Don't get fooled by being a small place. Price is high but seems like it's like that everywhere else.

It?s been a while since I?ve come here. Don?t live in Chula Vista anymore so it?s not exactly in my route, but it is one of the best places I?ve had a sandwich from! Definitely recommend if you want something quick simple and not so heavy. Love thisplace! Open from 10:30-3:30 Monday through Saturday just as a heads up!
