Highly recommended. excellent food and service. my wife and I came to lunch when we heard good things. we were not disappointed. we really enjoyed our sandwiches. the combination of aromen between brot, meat and sauce on my jerk float on moonlight roll incredible! the prices were reasonable, and the place has a nice feeling for it. please make it a point to visit they will not regret it.

Friendly service and excellent eating in a cute, incredibly clean location that is close to the interstate. we are on a large road and are over the chain restaurants. beautiful, mockingbird cafe found!

Big little café I found on the trip to 81! I actually drove from Roanoke to pick up from her on Saturday... it's worth the trip! Tons of vegan options that are incredibly good!

Mockingbird is my favorite place to pick up breakfast. They have the most amazing big bagels (they remind me of warm soft pulps. I also love their breakfast sandwiches (my favorite is the egg and cheese on potato sauce, and I will often go a loaf of this bread. Her cinnamon rolls are delicious and gigantic (and vegan! My favorite cookie is her citrus cookie (although I'm hesitant to mention it because they are so popular that they often run out, haha . I love this place also because they make both vegan vegetarians and carnivores happy (so I can make both my vegan husband and my bacon loving father-in-law). Donna always comes with new veg-friendly recipes, such as biscuits and Gravy. Your bagel and ox is also fantastic (and a very generous part). Mockingbird also went beyond and beyond to adapt her restaurant to COVID. You can simply order on their website, then simply show to your chosen time and get your to-go bag. I always feel like they do everything they can to ensure customer security. We often order Friday for a Saturday morning pickup, and it will be a little something that is happy on weekends.
