Note...... within the last 2 months new property has taken over the restaurant Unfortunately the service is not what it was earlier, and the food is also NOT almost as food and delicious prepared as it was before!!!
We've been here for years. But last couple of times it changed drastically. The same great atmosphere and music. But the service and food quality has declined significantly. It seems that only teenagers run this place and not very well. I saw no person who looked over 20 years old today. And nothing wrong with that. But they just didn't seem very concentrated or they even looked after. Try tonight, but they're just not on their game. My food came past my friend. So waited for her to come. After a while, the server checked and said he would see where he was. At that time, I also asked him to bring honey mustard and that I had no role on my plate. After returning with the second meal, I reminded him of these things. They were never received and I didn't ask again. And then my meal on the table was 20 minutes. So it was cold. Prices have risen and the sizes are much smaller. Always loved the frozen fruit salad. It used to come in a normal bowl. Now it's in a very small cup as a sauce would come. It takes about 2-3 bites so it's gone. And I had about 5 corn-nuggets where my friend had a bowl full. No consistency. If I had chosen other side parts, I would have known. So without role and hardly any pages, basically paid $15 for just the cold meat. Country roasted steak had good taste. But being cold meat and gravity was disappointing. But didn't want to eat rude while my friend was waiting. It used to be hard to be here even on Friday and Saturday night. This time, and the last, not almost so many people there. Didn't wait to sit. That would never have happened at 6:30 on Friday night. There was a big party right here. They also asked for a few things they never get. Could say they were frustrated. And it's not as if it was very busy where the server was overwhelmed and just wouldn't remember. People all left their plates about 1/2 full. So you weren't happy. It's only far to come for us and not to be great. It has been from this world for many years. Always recommended to people, but until something changes, not the feeling of recommending it or returning. It is just such a noticeable decline. And that's too bad. Because it used to be legendary.
What a wonderful place. First, the service was exceptional. Second, the food was outstanding. Very much an old fashioned country menu. I had catfish and loved it. The okra was great and so was the turnip greens. My wife had chicken tenders and they were also very good. We finished with coconut cream pie and it reminded me of family reunions from long ago.
I had Miller? Grocery offers a 50th anniversary celebration. The food was great and cheap. All shaved over beef tips, potatoes and Mac-n cheese. Annette was easy to work and made sure everything was perfect. Will Miller use food for all the needs of my gastronomy.
Despite my first impression, this place is a jewel. Hidden by Rt 231. Beautiful homemade meals with generous portions. Some kind of dishes here. Many homemade desrts
