The Crown- Christchurch

I made a reservation at the restaurant/pub through OpenTable, and everything was confirmed. However, a few hours later I received a call from The Crown informing me that they were fully booked and unable to honor my reservation. I'm not sure where the issue arose, but regardless, my experience with The Crown through OpenTable was extremely disappointing. I would recommend booking directly with the restaurant to avoid any potential issues, although this should not be necessary.

I used to enjoy visiting The Crown, but it seems like the quality has decreased. The roast potatoes were the worst I've ever had and everything tasted like it had been reheated. I was very disappointed with my experience.

The Sunday lunch could have been improved by serving it hotter and providing sharper knives to cut the beef!

A bit disappointing this time, hard cabbage, indescribable carrots , attention to detail required. An establishment can soon loose customers, it would be a shame for a rural venue.

Sunday dinner would have been better if it had been hotter and we would like to have sharper knives to cut the beef!!
