Speight's Ale House - Christchurch

This restaurant is beautiful and cozy, offering seating in both the bar area and the dining section. The wait times were reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous. The meals were served promptly by friendly staff, and the ambiance was pleasant without loud music, which is definitely a plus. There's convenient parking available as well. I would be happy to return to this establishment again.

Great food, excellent service highly recommended. the woman and I eat today and while the dining room was full. we could get a table outside in a well protected area a little windy) but eating was worth it.

Wonderful service, good food. they needed everyone. high chair for the small, cared for the birthday cake we brought with candles etc., the personal even took photos for us so that all family could be included. the day was simply made perfect by the personal service, many thanks.

Service was prompt and friendly, setting was fine, typical Ale House. We both ordered the pan fried fish and it was perfectly cooked, but the vegetables were slightly warm and unfortunately raw so we couldn't eat them. If not would have given 5 stars.

Disappointing. They forgot our starter. Main meal was delicious so we felt less disappointed until they forgot our desserts. What the heck. Seemed more focused on servicing the bar. Staff seemed disorganized. It was busy but no excuse from my perspective. Marked a 3 star as food was good.
