Pizza Hut Church Corner - Christchurch

The pizza was quite average; there wasn't much topping, mostly just crust. The onion rings were overcooked as well.

I was really disappointed with my pizza. Instead of making a fresh one, they just combined leftover pieces from other pizzas, thinking I wouldn’t notice. The way it was cut was completely uneven, and the pieces didn’t even fit together properly. I didn’t realize this until I got home; otherwise, I definitely wouldn’t have accepted it. It was so bad that I'd give it a zero if I could, but since that’s not an option, I have to give it a one.

This may be the worst Pizza Hut location in Christchurch. The quality of the food is inconsistent, ranging from mediocre to downright terrible. Last week, I ordered delivery from my workplace, which is only a two-minute drive away, and it was an absolute disaster. They tried to compensate me for a delivery that took two attempts and hours to arrive. The food was cold, and the garlic bread was undercooked and raw in the middle. All they had to do was put it through the conveyor belt oven, place it in a heated bag, and drive a short distance. It was lunchtime, so there was no busy rush at the time. The second delivery took over an hour to cover just about 500 meters.

I ordered two value pizzas after waiting five minutes at the counter to be served, despite there only being three other customers in the store. Once my order was finally taken, it took 35 minutes to receive two average-quality pizzas. Having worked in the hospitality industry as a chef for seven years, I was shocked by the lack of urgency demonstrated by the staff, who seemed to be moving around without any sense of urgency. I was extremely frustrated, as I had expected to wait a maximum of 20 minutes for two simple pizzas, not 40. The service was terrible, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Currently, this is the only Pizza Hut in Canterbury that actually includes the ingredients I pay for. I usually order the classic veggie (without pineapple) and pay an extra $4 for chicken. I'm glad to say that this location finally added the chicken! Thank you for that!
