Micky Finns - Christchurch

Very cool venue good food (cod bites decent portion served with a salad which was a nice surprise) good staff, fun band, pool tables, entertaining people to watch.

Good lookin' Irish themed pub. Meals were all great, beer was good and staff were very attentive.

The food is nice. It's a lot better than what you'd expect to find at a pub. The drinks are reasonably priced, especially for Christchurch, but the bar staff are really what makes this place pop. Music can be kinda hit or miss but overall, can recommend this place over the Rockpool any day

Decided to walk up the stairs and check out this place as Rockpool didn't answer their phone and when we attended they were booked out. ...and happy about that. The Micky Finn's staff were really nice, offered any table to choose from and were quick to seat us. A minute or so to check the menu, then drink orders taken, meal orders taken as drinks delivered to table. Great chit chat with staff and spoke about the restaurant being new. Then the food came out.. I ordered the Beef Cheek Curry and it has been the most flavoursome meal in the week we have been in Christchurch. Wife had the Pad Thai and ordered the Pork Belly as well. Servings where great value vs cost. (My Beef Cheeks are in a bowl, so actually larger than the picture shows) Son was delighted with his Pizza.

Cannot say enough good things about micky finns! the service was super, and the staff was super friendly. eating was great it came fast and high standard. really good value for money. it costs the two of us under $40 for a main meal each. we're coming back!
