Giovanni's - Christchurch

We decided to give this restaurant a try for their vegan pizza. Unfortunately, our experience was not good. The service was terrible and very slow. It took a long time for our meal to be served and when it finally came, it was very bland and not worth the wait. We will not be returning. (Updated from previous review on January 18, 2023)

We tried the bruschetta (delicious), pizza (also delicious but it was not the one we ordered at least it was still vegan though) and the roast potatoes (needed a dip or sauce). The food was good and prices reasonable, but the service was a bit rusty we had four servers, despite level 2 restrictions stating there should only be one, we had to remind them to bring us drinks, didn’t get any water, and were given a different pizza to what we ordered (though it was still nice). They said it was a busy night, so maybe are more on to it usually. Update 2021: I had a GrabOne voucher for two pizzas. Nowhere did it say it would cost extra for vegan cheese, in the fact the vegan pizzas are the same price anyway as the vegetarian ones, but they still insisted on charging me extra when I went to pick up.
