I prefer dishes that are medium to hot in terms of spiciness, but nothing too overwhelming. We started off with poppadoms served with onions, chutney, and yoghurt, which were decent but the portions were on the smaller side. The starters of Chicken Tikka, sheek kebab, and vegetable samosas were okay but didn't quite impress us. For my main dish, I ordered a lamb dish and the lamb itself was good. However, the sauce was supposed to have lime, garlic, ginger, and be spicy, but it lacked the bold flavors I was expecting. The other main dishes had a similar issue. The fish used in the Masala dish had a strange taste, and I couldn't quite pinpoint what type of fish it was.
I used to order from this restaurant at least once a week and even left a review saying it was the best takeaway in Chorley. However, the last few times I have ordered from here, it has been terrible. We thought maybe the bad meal was a one-off, but the last three meals were not good at all. We even tried two completely different dishes that tasted and looked exactly the same. All we could taste was salt, the portions were half the size they used to be, and to top it off, we both had terrible stomach issues the next day. I used to love the food from this restaurant and recommended it to all my friends. It's such a shame because the person who runs it is a nice chap.
The food was excellent, served hot, and the service was top-notch. We even received a complimentary starter, which was delicious, just like the rest of the dishes. The meal was also very reasonably priced.
Ordered chicken sambar and was ridiculously hot, and had no taste other than black pepper, won't be going again
Ordered a takeaway for bank holiday weekend. I’ve ordered from them before and have also left them good reviews on Just Eat. Today however was as if I had ordered from somewhere else or they cooked in their sleep. Previous takeaways have not been out of this world so wasn’t expecting anything more than the normal Bangladeshi/Pakistani taste of Indian curries. But the meat was soggy and raw as if thawed from frozen but not cooked. It took ages to arrive and when we called to check on delivery no one answered the phone. Maybe their busy night, but not for me to eat raw food. Never again and won’t recommend.
