Blue Elephant - Chorley

We were a group of 15 people of varying ages. It took 40 minutes for our orders to be taken after being seated. Although we received popadums quickly, our main course took an hour to arrive. The food was good, but we have had better. The staff, while pleasant, seemed to be overwhelmed by our large party and served us quite aggressively. Despite the busy restaurant, it took 20 minutes to receive the bill. We wouldn't rule out returning, but it wouldn't be our top choice.

Not great! We were charged £60 per head for a Christmas meal here but it was WAY below average. Very small amount of starters and just basic curries and a tiny plastic tub of ice cream for dessert (not everyone got one)... for £60 per head is a robbery! Service was rubbish, VERY slow were family had to go to the bar because it took so long and rude waiters and owner. No prosecco or anything on arrival which we all expected for the price. I wouldn't advise anyone to go here for Christmas dinner again, huge disappointment.

Went to The Elephant for our Christmas Day meal. We all agreed the food was absolutely excellent, whilst the service was also great. They did a fantastic job of looking after our party. That's the second time we've been here, both in the last year and on both occasions it's been great.

I will never visit this restaurant again. It's not worth the money. We ordered takeaway and almost everything we received was a disaster and hardly edible. The chips were burnt and tasted terrible. The chicken chat was mostly onions with flavorless chicken in sauce. They claimed chat is always served in a bread chapati, which I didn't remember being mentioned as an issue. The onion bhaji was burnt to the point of being inedible. We pretty much gave up at that point.

We came for are tea Wednesday 12 July, a very warm welcome at the door,and seated straight away. It was kind of busy ., Staff are very polite and friendly. We felt welcomed from start to finish, it was so relaxing no rushing you to finish your food ready for the next people, we has popadoms then starters and mains and then to finish of who doesn't like dessert. We had mix Rogan Josh and chicken tikka masala. I would say it was the best curry by far that I have tasted and will differently be making this are new to go please, thank you to the staff for making feel welcome, I 100% recommend you give it a try.
