However, a few pics on the menu would have been a great help for a newbie like me. The restaurant offers decent food with reasonable price. Will definitely come back again.
I really loved the mojo lamb plate. the meat was well cooked and the salad & fries were excellent and the bread was crunchy. the food is well priced. I'm planning to go there every week as it's closer to my work.
Fogo is a popular Brazilian-style BBQ chain in Sydney which offers a variety of churrasco grilled meat (beef, lamb, chicken, prawns, you name it they got it). Their outlet in Central Park is bright, sleek and colourful. I tried one of their signature plate - margarita chicken - during my visit yesterday and found their version of churrasco grilled chicken taste much better than BahBQ's or Churrasco's. The chicken thigh was succulent and delectable but a little dry whereas the savoury potato and chorizo salad was appetising and flavourful. Worth a try but I would probably not return.
Gave this place a go with a big group of 13 friends after I was struggling to find a place for my group to dine at. The criteria set by my friends of a place to eat at made my life difficult in finding a place. The food venue had to be new to them, couldn't be japanese/chinese/korean, could take bookings, was open on a weeknight, relatively cheap (below $20), could do a large group, was relatively close to the City. Believe me, when I stumbled on Fogo, I was glad, I had a venue that ticked all those criteria off. The service was nothing special, although they were very nice to help take our group photos. Ordered the brasillia wrap ($15), and was impressed by the aesthetics of the dish. I liked the onion ring stack encircling the steak knife, and the wrap itself with the chicken and sauce made the dish really nice. The only issue I probably had was seeing the salads in my friends' other dishes and nobody seemed to touch it, because of the over-flavour and lack of freshness in the taste. Overall, it was a good experience, and if you want a food place that ticks off all the said criteria outlined above, then Fogo is definitely for you! :)
