Columbia River Roadhouse - Chinook

It's more of a bar with a restaurant than the other way around. There's no real separation between the two, so if the patrons at the bar are being loud while watching a game, it can be hard to hear conversations at the tables. I found the menu to be much more limited than I expected for a place labeled as a roadhouse. I ordered the seafood linguini, and I was disappointed; the Alfredo sauce was very thin and watery, making the noodles bland and tasteless. The cod or halibut pieces were cooked well but also lacked flavor. The calamari was tough and chewy. We also ordered a calamari appetizer that a friend raved about, saying it was the best he’d ever had. However, when I tried a piece, it was also tasteless and gummy. On a positive note, the shrimp had a good flavor, likely because they were prepared and cooked separately before being added to the dish. My mother ordered fried shrimp and thought they were decent but found her fries to be excessively salty. Overall, I wasn’t overly impressed, but I might consider returning earlier in the day to avoid the bar crowd and possibly try some of their fried menu items. I wouldn’t be surprised if their fried dishes are some of their best offerings.

Food was excellent even though they forgot my bacon. The menu has changed and prices are more expensive. The staff was very nice. Arcade was not open and there was no time to show when it would open again

Don't let the weathered shield stop you here. It serves excellent seafood. The Crab Louie was fresh with delicious thousand island dressing. Their fresh halibut fish and chips were also great.

Very good food and service. Had a couple Cadillac Margaritas and they were delightful. Strong, and made with fresh squeezed lemon. Like it says in the Bible. The food is also fantastic. We tried the Mac and Cheese with crab added. First, it was huge. Half made it home. We also tried the burger with grilled onion and BBQ sauce. This style of burger is my jam and it was executed to perfection resting atop a super yummy pub style bun. Like I mentioned at the beginning, the service is top notch. Fast and friendly. They also have some outdoor seating for those, like me, that prefer dining al fresca.
