Visited with a friend who lives locally. Within minutes of arriving, we were warmly invited to the main bar next to the roaring log fire. Got chatting to a man, his son-in-law and two others. Had a lovely evening. New landlord Oliver and barman Henry, a sporting aficionado, couldn’t be more welcoming. Will visit the next time I’m in Great Missenden. Thumbs up.

This pub was recently taken over and reopened, much to the delight of the locals in the community. The new owners have successfully integrated the pub into the heart of the local community, gradually getting the business up and running in carefully planned stages. One sunny morning, we visited and enjoyed a delicious coffee and cake in their cleverly named "Cafe au Lee." My americano was excellent and the locally made cake (with a choice of about 8 options) was really tasty. We also tried a beer and a lager from the Rebellion brewery in Marlow, both of which were very good. While the food selection is currently limited as they work on fully operating their kitchen, the quality of what they have on offer is impressive. The pub is supportive of local initiatives and events, and we believe they deserve every success. We will definitely be returning, as it is wonderful to have such a great independent pub in the local area once again.

The owner has completely renovated the entire pub! It was fantastic! The place was bustling with a great atmosphere, and there were all kinds of people there. The bar staff were friendly and attentive to the regular customers. They were serving bar snacks like a cheese board and lasagna. I would recommend making a reservation if you have a large group.

We held an 18th birthday party for our son in the garden. Magical setting. Oliver, Angie and Alfredo couldn’t do enough for us they were fantastic. All our friends said what a great local pub welcoming and a great selection of ales, wines and soft drinks.

We met up with friends to form a team for the quiz at the restaurant. Although we didn't win, we had a great time filled with good drinks and delicious lasagna.
