Klosterwirt: the place to be! tradition house with excellent quality of the Kloster-Host, which I have known for over 10 years, a 500-year old traditional house that has remained true, always with best quality. what they immediately notice is the creepy warm and courteous staff (they can not say that from all natives) the quality. and not least, terrace directly on the water, the best view on the island. we were also at special occasions (also married there), there were international summer schools with young scientists, large groups, high-level business delegations, the klosterwirt is flexible, can always be something special for everyone. the place to be! cordial gratitude to the great chef michael leiner an his team!

We were on coffee yesterday and cake at the monastery farm on the women's island. the waiters were totally overwhelmed. read to wish and the quality: the cheapest was bought from cheap. it tasted neither the ice nor the cake, the coffee was also bad. wait 40 min, for that they have reached a good deal during the trips. because the restoration is almost uncompetitive, the location is very good and tourist-and-growth, it is a bad assessment more or less important. in my opinion, this would be local, at another location with a good gastronomy than neighbourly consecrated. pity for this beautiful traditional house.

With the motorboat we put from gstadt am chiemsee over to the famous women's island. It is still with its true sign, the tweeper tower, in the shimmering water before the striking scene of the chiemgau mountain. Not only painters and writers, denser and musicians visited the women's island or even became completely insulates. many of them are registered in the women's chimera. we round the island, visit the church and the Carolingian torhalle. a visit to the women's monastery was not possible. then we order a fresh Chiemsee-Renke in the beer garden from the klosterwirt. since now more than 500 years are served in this house guests from all over the world on the most friendly. the abbey belongs to the Benedictine abbey of women and is led by a monastery host. with beautiful weather you have a fantastic view over the lake in the chiemgauer alpen on the terrace. the historical cross vault in the gaststuben spreads a cozy atmosphere and invites you to stay. the klosterwirt spoils its guests with fish specialties. in winter there are a lot of strudel variations. a special experience: a celebration in the heavenly stubborn . up to 140 people find a place here.

Have made a trip to the women's island today. are then returned to the monastery restaurant to eat and drink there. unfortunately we were served only after 10 minutes waiting. the service was rude and to fall.

We have eaten with 11 people at midday: a friendly and very attentive waiter received us and served us flink and with sweat. each of our groups was satisfied with their teller - eating tastes great and was also very appetizing decorated. Drinks are expensive as anywhere on the island. For years the local maintains a high standard and the service works very well even in high season. we always like to visit the pale restaurant with our children.
