For starters, the resto is small and cramped, with a view of the parking lot. We had a small table for three, with barely enough space for our dishes. There was a very loud, unpleasant, near constant sound coming from the kitchen maybe from some appliance? Most upsetting were the prices. When we paid our bills, we noticed that each item cost 1 2 more than the price on the menu. The waitress unapologetically pointed to a disclaimer written in teeny tiny font on the menu, Prices subject to change without notice. A miso soup was 8. A small wonton soup with 3 tiny wontons was 10. The food was pretty good, but not worth it given the price and the dining experience.
We arrived at 2pm, and the restaurant seemed to be close but not (the window from the street should be more welcoming) As there is only on table service for the evening with sit on the bar in front of the team Guys were overloaded by orders by phone all our stay. Anyway they were very kind and helpful about the menu and suggestions. Sushi are amazing. Perfectly fresh, generous. With some original mix, especially Maki We loved them angel highly recommend this place.
The best sushi in the Saguenay-Lac St-Jean area. Micael makes sauces you only dream of. His fish imported from Hawaii and always fresh make this sushi bar so populat that one must reserve days ahead of time to get a table or seat at the bar.
I was ignored at the door by 4 waitresses I decided I was going to take out since the energy in the restaurant was unbearable. Very stressful environment, the manager told me it was because of the change of shift .... then told me I was the one that was stressed out ... mmh A group of 4 was waiting behind me to pay at the cash with their half empty glasses of wine. They said they had to leave because another reservation was coming in so they were told they had to leave by 8. Don 't go to this restaurant if they 're in a rush, i was there during Festival de vins du Saguenay... not impressed by their staff Oh yes... I came back at the hotel and they forgot to give me chopsticks... and napkins *clap clap* I am a rep and I am very often on the road, I don 't often get brutalized like that. The worst is that the lady at the hotel lobby told me not to go there when they are too busy... and i did not listen. Their sushi is very good... that is true. If service is important to you, take it out.
I been to several sushi restaurants but this one has got to be the best. I went with a business colleague without reservations. However, we were seated right away. I recommend the Chef Special. They continue to bring our plates of sushi until you tell them to stop. Everything was fantastic.
