Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Chico

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and unfortunately, my order was incorrect. Additionally, there were no utensils, napkins, or butter included in my bag. The person at the drive-thru window was difficult to understand and became a bit rude. On a positive note, the meal itself was decent.

I've had great experiences with customer service at this location during my recent visits. Initially, there were a few hiccups with our order, but we were patient since the staff were clearly trying their hardest. While Popeyes hasn't traditionally been my go-to fast food spot, I'm starting to enjoy grabbing something from there now and then.

To our dismay, we discovered we were missing some items, everything except the chicken was cold, and the pies were inedible. At that point, we didn’t even care about the extras. I called to speak with the manager—if I remember correctly, her name was Sage. She came across as rather smug, giving off a "fake nice" vibe and seemed indifferent to our complaints, with a casual "sorry for your wait." She offered a handful of excuses, but honestly, there were four main reasons given as to why this happened, and none of them were acceptable. When you spend money, especially a significant amount, there should be a level of urgency and service provided. I understand things can get busy, but there wasn’t even a line. We could see everything that was happening!

A quick review: I tried the darkened chicken channels for the first time. They were quite unique and tasty, but I think I prefer the spicy crispy options instead. Overall, the rest of the meal was fantastic. Plus, they offer caffeine-free Diet Coke!
