Most of the dishes are homemade, which is definitely a plus. The food is always served hot, never cold, and you can season it to your liking with salt and pepper. I have no complaints at all. Our drinks were refilled promptly, and the experience was so enjoyable that I didn't hesitate to tip the waitstaff—they truly do their best and are amazing people.
This restaurant consistently offers an excellent Hibachi Grill and delicious sushi. The sushi is always fantastic, and the staff promptly refills drinks. It's a great spot to enjoy a variety of dishes.
When I settled down to eat, my Hibachi was ready and included lemongrass chicken, potstickers, ginger, garlic, pineapple, crab, red onion, broccoli, and three flanks of meat. I spent an hour enjoying my meal, which even included a simple bowl of ice for dessert. The flavors were fantastic, the food was hot and abundant, and I barely touched 65% of what was available (I skipped the soups, salads, and fruits). I left feeling very happy and full. The last photo I took shows the reasonable amount I paid. The food bars, soup stations, and dessert areas were all extremely clean. I held off on giving them a perfect rating because the desserts could use some improvement; most were a bit dry. Overall, Kwandos is way better than Hula's Chinese BBQ and even more affordable! I returned on a Thursday night and noticed they had added some Louisiana Creole dishes, which earned them that extra star. The addition of creole potatoes, corn, crabs, and more brought excellent flavors and a nice touch to the already impressive buffet.
Wow, what a selection of good food! Many shrimp dishes, mussels, mussels, sushi, a wide selection of raw meat, fish and vegetables to have boiled right there for you, green salad, many fruit choices, dumplings, orange chicken, chow mine, toads, the list goes on and on. Delicious decisions. The price was worth $17.99 for dinner and the price. I'm going back. The only cave is Sunday at 2:00, it was very busy. The line was out of the door and it took us well 20 minutes before we could sit. When we were gone at 3:00, there was a very short line. It is a large restaurant and if in full capacity, the lines for the food were quite slow moving as well. But very good food.
Been here twice and always it's full! That's a good sign! Food is fresh, and tastes great. Hibachi grill is amazing, they did really good job and a they have more variety of meat than any buffet's I been too. Loved sushi too.
