La Havana - Chichester

Compact venue for a jazz night, pre booked table and on site bar available whilst listening to Dave Lewis , the guest Sax player Great.

This restaurant is a great spot for an 18th birthday party or similar event. It's not too large, but has a dance floor and seating areas. The bar is well stocked, but the toilets could use a refurbishment and a deep clean.

Attended a private function in La Havana. The venue is great, quirky, spacious but with an intimate, cosy feel. The toilets need a major overall, dirty and badly maintained. The big let down was the staff. After reading other reviews of how friendly and helpful they were, I'm disappointed to say that myself, and several other people in our party found otherwise. Abrupt and unwelcoming,they looked as if they would rather be anywhere else than behind the bar. A couple of issues were dealt with, in what can only be described as quite an unprofessional manner. It can't be easy to be working when all around you are having a party, but if that's the profession you've chosen, put a smile on your face and make the best of it. Unfortunately the result is, that this venue is not somewhere I would return to, or somewhere I would recommend.

I am not somebody who normally takes the time to review places (although I always read what others have to say . In this instance it would be unkind not to. I was so apprehensive about hosting an 18th birthday party for my son and under no circumstances was prepared to do it at home. I cannot thank Pourang enough for allowing us to hire La Havana. The staff here are absolutely INCREDIBLE. Ignore any reviews to the contrary. The bouncers, Shaun and Dean were awesome any problems were dealt with instantly without us needing to get involved. Lovely Maria behind the bar was a star and such a kind soul (I hope the English weather doesn't make you go home to Lisbon! and Pourang was fantastic from start to finish. Answered emails instantly and came up with great ideas to make the evening a success. This is a great venue the kids absolutely loved it and so many mentioned they would like to hire it for their 18ths. An absolute hidden gem in Chichester. Thank you all so much for your hospitality and kindness!

Had a great evening at this monthly Friday jazz venue. A good mixed crowd not all whiskery Old Gits like me. All in a vaulted basement for real atmosphere. If you squint a bit you could almost be at the Village Vanguard in Greenwich Village without the cost and possibly the New York talent but it was all good for a local club. Beer at £3 a bottle. No food so I no clinking plates during the set!
