We order sriracha sauce for our sushi and they charged it, I think this was my first time that I paid for this sauce I don’t really mind but maybe they should tell us if we have to pay when we asked for extra sauce or another different one.
I've been going to this place a few times throughout the month given its the only place open when I'm out of work. The restaurant is small so I recommend calling ahead if you have a larger group (4+ and while it's a sushi place it has a variety of dishes from Pad Thai to Teriyaki which is a plus for me. I think everything was priced fairly and is a perfect spot for date night or just spending time with close friends. While I haven't had everything on the menu yet, everything I've had so far was great, with portions that are fair. I'd highly recommend taking a visit.Vegetarian options: There's a few sections dedicated to vegetarian options, and a few rolls as well. I'm personally not vegetarian but I had a few and wasn't disappointed.
Fried rolls were unique and fun, spicy salmon was super good. Miso soup was cold and calamari was kinda over cooked?? kinda pricyyyyy.Food: 4/5
I've ordered delivery from Zoku for years and for the most part, it has been quite good. When they raised their prices, I stayed as a customer because I knew that supply chains were stretched thin and profit margins were being squeezed. When they switched away from their own delivery and went with a service and delivery prices significantly increased, I still stuck by them. But this latest order has me rethinking my loyalty. I ordered the Pad See Ew, which I've had several times before. This time, there was not a single whole noodle in sight nothing but tiny little overcooked pieces of noodle. No sauce it had all been absorbed by the overcooked noodle fragments. It was essentially flavorless and very oily. It went into the compost bin. I also ordered the unagi roll my favorite. Unlike in the past, the roll was much smaller. I also ordered the seaweed salad. It was the smallest portion I've ever received it did not even fill the bottom of the container and it usually was a good amount. I really hope this is a fluke, I have been quite a fan of Zoku in the past and have introduced many friends to it. I'll give it one more try, but I fear that with prices up and quantity and quality of food down, Zoku may have lost its shine.
Had an issue with the online take out order. I arrived to the restaurant to find out the order was not ready when promised which wasn't a huge deal. They apologized and prepared the order and it was totally worth the wait!! Great food and I will be returning to explore the menu.Food: 5/5
