Wells on Wells - Chicago

We had the mac and cheese, pork belly potato wedges and the bison burger. Food came out promptly and waitstaff were friendly and fast. Food was ok. Standard bar fare and a bit bland (especially the mac n cheese). If it was a bit cheaper this would be fine but this was overpriced for basic food.

The patio was great and the servers were all nice but ours disappeared after taking our order. She was lovely when she returned but I had to get other's attention to get more water and fix an order.

Having lived here for 13 years I was shocked I had not heard of nor been here before. I had some good friends in from out of town and we had a show at the Main stage across the street. It was easy to rsvp and the service was pleasant and quick without being rushed. There was great variety on the menu so you could cover a wide spectrum of tastes. I enjoyed my chicken fried steak meal and the portion was perfect. My friends has the salmon and were equally delighted. I will certainly be back. The show across the street was good too!

This is a great place to stop in before a show at Second City. The atmosphere is laid back. Our server was personable and professional. We had the cheeseburger sliders on pretzel rolls and the chicken quesadilla (both were very good).
