However, while the dishes were incredibly tasteful and courageous, I found the abnormality of milk and sugar led to an inappropriate need for something to compensate the hearty aromes. Moreover, the planter of the meal was very slow it took 3 hours to get all six dishes. that seemed not to disturb others, but I felt that trembling would have been better in any case. of all directed, my favorite were the juniper (incredible tender and the chocolate dessert. the scallops octopus were also well cooked and delicious. the only court I didn't care about was the edible cake that the aromen were pretty boring. I am glad to have tried topolobampo, although in all honesty, given the amount of food for $200, I would rather recommend other set dinner in chicago for a better value.
Topolobampo is a must try in chicago! the experience from beginning to end is incredible! all dishes are tasteful, well balanced, but still tastes like authentic Mexican foods. there were only a few dishes that were slightly outdated, but we still ate everything. I highly recommend adding to a drink with her meal. we had a total of 6 courses with 5 weeps. the selections have been discovered and improved on each teller. the atmosphere itself is very relaxing. the waiting staff was attentive and friendly, making the evening more pleasant. if they have food restrictions, they still try to go! our dinner party is always a challenge because a person is vegetarian and the other has a tree nut and seafood allergy. the chef could accept all our food restrictions without impairing the quality. I could continue and continue over all the wonderful aspekte of this restaurant. I recommend this place to everyone I know and it is worth every cent we have paid and more! I want to come back in future!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Husband made reservations for 4 in March for two special birthdays, he made them directly on the restaurant 's website. We arrived at our designated time and were told that we had no reservations! Then when we showed them our confirmation emails, the women at the front desk told us that someone had moved them to the following week at 8 pm. How stupid did they think we were? They told us they would not have a table until 8 pm (no surprise! matches their line about the new time and we refused to budge. So they brought us downstairs to their new space where they comped our appetizers and drinks, as they should, however, we did not order much considering we were waiting for what we thought would be great meals. The manager came down at 8 pm to take us to our table. The food on the tasting menus was good, however, the SERVICE LEFT MUCH TO BE DESIRED and the time between the very small portions was too long. In the two hours that we sat the server asked us ONCE if we wanted drinks. My husband brought a drink up from downstairs and the glass sat on the table for two hours. Why should we have to remind a server in a 5 star restaurant to remove a dirty glass? At the end, which was already after 10 pm, we complained to the manager and I can not believe how useless he was. All he said was thanks for your comments. We spent over $500 (only had a margarita and a beer at dinner and that 's what we get? A worthless comment? The manager, knowing what happened to us, should have AT LEAST comped our two measly drinks. RICK BAYLESS SHOULD BE ASHAMED. Never again, save your money! For a 5 star restaurant the service and the way we were treated was totally unacceptable.
This was for a birthday dinner. What a great experience.
