The Underground Cocktail Club - Chicago

I was accused of holding the table for our reservation when we arrived, and the bouncer informed us that the venue was reserved for a private event. We had been looking forward to this all day. They really need to improve their communication with reservations when the venue is booked.

We had to check in our coats and pay $4 each, then we were seated near the door, which was quite chilly. We were told we'd be moved as soon as more tables were cleaned, but that never happened. We waited over an hour for water and drinks; the servers walked by us numerous times, but we weren’t approached. Then the busboy took our food without asking. When we finally received our bill, we noticed the drinks were included, but the service fee had been doubled. The server apologized for everything that went wrong, but by that point, we had just had enough of the evening.

I had a wonderful evening! The ambiance is delightful, and the food is absolutely delicious!

I was accused of keeping the table for this place when we showed up for the reservation, the Bouncer told us that the club was booked for a private event. We enjoyed it all day. This should really find a way to contact reservations when the spot is posted.
