The Red Lion Pub - Chicago

I sat at the bar for five minutes, during which the bartender engaged in a loud conversation about his dislike for Chicago and California. Despite the bar's pleasant atmosphere, the drink menu was limited to just beer and wine. Additionally, there were some odd Russian posters displayed in the doorway.

I absolutely love this place! My grandmother was Irish but lived in England from shortly after her birth until her late thirties or early forties, so visiting here with my dad brought back some fantastic family memories. The cider and fish and chips were delicious. I can't wait to return!

The sausage in the bangers and mash was incredibly tender and practically melted in my mouth. When I first cut into it, I expected a bit more firmness, but it was surprisingly soft yet fully cooked. I've never tasted sausage quite like this before, and it was truly delicious. The fish in the fish and chips was beautifully golden and looked so appealing—just the perfect match for enjoying a pint of beer. On my next visit, I’ll definitely have to try more items from the menu because these two dishes were outstanding.

Best pub in Chicago, amazing atmosphere and Collin is one of the greatest bartenders and people I ve ever met!
