The Jibarito Stop - Chicago

Recently turned vegan a few months ago and was having a craving for jibarito and did not know they had a vegan one. So I decided to get one and it was delicious! They also have a vegan potato salad which I believe comes with vegan mayo.

I can’t believe it took me so long to find this place. The food is amazing. I got the jibarito and the yucca fries. I can say without a doubt that yucca fries are way better than regular fries!

This was our first time here. All of our food was delish!! Very filling, loved the atmosphere.

Jibarito was so good!! I loved the garlic spread topped onto the plantains. The chicken platter with rice was good. The sampler empanada plate was okay, but the cilantro tamarind sauce was delicious.

This was an awesome experience. The Jibarito was top notch. I do not have a comparison as this was the first type of this sandwich that I've ever eaten. I had the pork Jibarito and fried potato ball. I should have tried the sweet hot sauce to kickthe heat up. Not h albeit quite good without. The rice and gandules was hella tasty.
