As a taco connoisseur, I can confidently say this is one of the best taco places in the city, and the service is incredibly friendly.
Chicago has no shortage of great taquerias, and this one certainly stands out. If you find yourself in West Chicago and are in the mood for a bite to eat, I highly recommend stopping by. The owner is incredibly welcoming and stays busy behind the counter. While the prices might seem a bit high compared to the many affordable taco options in the city, the portion sizes are generous. I ordered three tacos, but I could have easily gotten away with just two. I tried the al pastor and steak tacos. The only reason I’m giving this spot four stars instead of five is that the al pastor and steak weren’t quite at the top level I was hoping for. The flavors were decent but not exceptional—about a 3.7 on my scale. I’ve certainly had better, as the spices were good but the tenderness was lacking a bit. Still, it's important to note that the owner is competing with some of the very best, which makes their offerings commendable. If I lived in the area, I’d definitely make this a regular stop. The burritos also looked impressive, reminiscent of the ones from the Mission District in San Francisco—I wish I had ordered one to take home. As my sister pointed out, you know a place is good when you see police officers dining there.

Everytime I visit the asada is wonderful and the service is kind and fast.
