Sumi Japanese - Chicago

I've always felt that ethnic restaurants are best when run by people from that culture, and this place goes against that belief, being owned and operated by Chinese individuals. Sure, they know how to slice fish, but sushi isn't a great choice for an AYCE menu without a buffet setup. We couldn't finish our rolls and were shocked to find out it would cost a dollar PER PIECE to take them home. So, we ended up leaving them behind to be discarded. To top it all off, believe it or not, there was no tea available. No green tea, no Chinese tea, and not even iced tea! As far as we're concerned, we're done with this place.

We visited for the all-you-can-eat dinner, and it was definitely worth it. This place offers one of the best all-you-can-eat experiences in the area. It tends to get quite crowded around 8 PM, so I recommend arriving a bit early to avoid a long wait. This wasn't my first visit, and it certainly won’t be my last!

Hidden gems! We tried the all-you-can-eat option, and it was fantastic! We ordered gyoza and shrimp shumai as appetizers; they were just okay. However, all the rolls were incredibly fresh, delicious, and quite large!

Good place to eat all you can eat Sushi in south loop.They have a large variety of seafood selections.A little bit slow in serving but very respectful waiters/servers.You should give it a try.

Came here for lunch and ordered my food from the ayce menu and they told me they don’t serve the amazing tuna roll during lunch. Why is it on the menu then? Never seen an ayce sushi place where they don’t offer the same menu for lunch and dinner. Or at least let the customers know when giving the menu.The service was not the best. There was no welcome or hi when we first arrived. They won’t take away empty plates when they drop off more food. My salad came after the sushi and crab Rangoon was over cooked to the point of it sounding like I’m biting into a fortune cookie. Just overall disorganized.
