Smashburger - Chicago

This restaurant is a great option for a fast meal. The service was efficient despite being crowded. I ordered a smash burger with brisket, and it was deliciously smoky and flavorful.

The service at this restaurant was absolutely appalling. One staff member in particular had a terrible attitude and was incredibly rude to both myself and a kindly 70+ year old man for no apparent reason, simply because we asked a simple question. I will definitely not be returning. Additionally, it took an outrageous 15 minutes for a simple order of French fries, and to make matters worse, they ended up giving me the wrong kind of fries. Instead of smash fries, I was given regular fries. I suggest replacing this particular staff member, as I can provide more specific details about her behavior.

All the reviews are right, the service at this place SUCKS. The people hate their lives, they are rude and are probably forced to be there. When we entered, there was no one at the registers, so we waited to place our order. The cashier didnt even crack a smile.... weird and uncomfty. They brought our burgers to the table and threw the plates without asking who they were for (we were a party of 10). The prices..... lord. We paid almost 50 dollars for two burgers, one portion of fries and two drinks. Its not cheap, but the question is, was it worth it? Eh. The food tastes good, but its not out of this world. I would much rather have spent that money else where. My friends liked it, but we all got different things so I guess it depends. All in all, I am not a Chicago local, but im willing to bet that there are better places to eat for 50 bucks.

Food is readable , the staff attitude especially their supervisor( older chubby guy who works at night was very rude with a lot of customers and make you feel unwanted.I certainty will not come back to this branch.Sweet water burger is a few steps down the road and is very pleasant staff and excellent food and burgers

The burger patties were not properly cooked or they were undercooked, the fries were okay and smashtots were over oily. When we complained about the food we were told that this is what you have ordered, it comes this way only ' have been eating smash burgers from several years at different places. This is the worst experience and service I ever had, especially at a restaurant located in downtown. This chain is surely spoiling smashburger’s reputation if they keep on serving the same quality of food especially at a prime location. Do not waste your money on bad quality food no matter how hungry you are.
