Had a cup of borscht the vegetarian tray, and some bread. Simple but, absolutely excellent.
A cozy restaurant without the pretentious a la ruse component.
Yesterday, after a long trip to the AIC, my husband and I stopped at this restaurant for a lovely, quiet lunch. Although we didn't enjoy every dish, we were trying new things, as to be expected. The dining room was beautiful and warm, which was a relief as it was freezing outside. I particularly enjoyed the cabbage roll and the buttery potatoes and mushroom appetizer, but the highlight was dessert. The medovik here is perhaps the best dessert I have ever had. We only ordered one piece to share, and I regretted not getting my own! Today, after days of walking around the city like tourists, we made a special trip to get more cake as our final vacation treat. It was worth every penny!
I’ve always wanted to try a high tea service and the Russian Tea Time restaurant was perfect! We had the Queen’s tea, we both enjoyed the scones and cream, the beet crepe with vegetable kraut, the caviar, the mini crossant sandwiches, and the desserts! They had this one dessert that had like a pink flan under whipped cream that I really liked. My husband liked the honey cake and shortbread with creme pat. A great place to take a special someone or to celebrate a birthday or anniversary! Would also be amazing for Mother’s Day! You can also order a vodka or a Molotov cocktail flight!
