The food was decent, but the service was incredibly slow.
Disappointment. Felt like a restaurant on its way out. New Manager, new waitstaff, out of three primary entrees. We were the only table, you would expect the service to be stellar. Food mediocre.Was excited to try Mason. Would NOT recommend

A promising place, not yet ready for prime time. With prices in the same league as Gibson's or Les Nomades, the bar is high. First the good news: the filet mignon was perfectly prepared, exactly as ordered, and delicious. The bad: it was served luke warm on a cold plate not even hot enough to melt the butter on top of the steak. The only really hot food was the two forgotten side dishes, which were served midmeal, and were hot only because they were cooked after they were discovered missing when the main courses arrived. When they finally arrived, we realized we hadn't missed much; the spinach was swimming in cheese, and the scallopini potatoes were just thick fried potato chips. The crab cake was ok, nothing special. Service was wellintentioned and friendly, but inept. On the plus side, they have an outstanding wine list, with many excellent wines by the glass. A very comfortable, dark dining room, with pleasant recorded music played a bit too loud and hyperactive air conditioning. Overall, a lot of potential. I'll give it a few months to get organized and try again
