As a someone who frequented Macau and who has Cantonese family, I headed to the restaurant with Macau on its name expecting something savory. The Macanese chicken, fried pork sandwich, etc. Well, I met with a huge disappointment. Ugh. You cannot make Macanese chicken with chicken breast that does not have skin. I need to feel the bones and taste the skin. Ugh. Also, the way the owner pushed us order things was just too much. It's not like you can force your customers to buy one thing and another.
Okay. Lots of MSG which did a number of my stomach. Did take-out. Favorite is the zhaleung (oily bread stick wrapped in thick rice noodle). Zhoke (rice porriage) is good, but a bit thick for my wife's tastes.
Good dim sum, beef chow fun! Fish filet and eggplant dish was also tasty. Beef stew casserole was tasty but the meat wasn’t too tender. Japanese tofu dish was a little under flavored. Prices for dim sum are lower than other places and service is excellent
1st time there and they had some unique dim sum. Yummy ?
