Laschet's Inn - Chicago

Cara was an absolutely amazing waitress. Great food, great service, excellent atmosphere. Loved the entire experience.

Found this gem on a Google search. What a treasure!!! Called for a takeout order of Weinerschnitzel dinner, Laberkase sandwich (with the best German potato salad I've ever had), and Apple strudel. The host taking my phone order was extremely accommodating. Parking was easy. Upon climbing the three short steps up to the inn, you went back in time to Old World Germany. Very warm and cozy. Felt at home immediately. Bartender was awesome. So friendly. My takeout order was waiting for me at a very reasonable price. If I wasn't pressed for time, I would have stayed and bought a round. This is my new go to place for German food in Chicago. Highly recommended!!!!

Stopped here after driving by. i am always in the mood for an authentic German restaurant. The rouladen was the best thing to order in the winter months. Will be back!

I hesitate to review this gem as I (selfishly) don't want it to get more popular. Don't let the simple decor fool you, this place has incredible food food and tremendous beer.

They put in a new floor, and the food seems better. Add good German beer and it's a fantastic place to eat.
