Kizuki Ramen and Izakaya - Chicago

I recently dined at this restaurant and found it to be average. The service was subpar as we had to wait 10 minutes for water and then another 5 minutes to place our order. We ordered pork buns and two ramen bowls. The noodles tasted like they were frozen and the sizes of the pork pieces varied greatly, with some being very small. The pork buns lacked flavor but the sauce helped improve the taste slightly. Overall, I would not dine here again and would recommend visiting a downtown or Edgewater's newer ramen restaurant instead. Additionally, the spoons were dirty and the cups had a slimy feeling to them.

I had the Shoyu Ramen and the Pork Gyoza. I travel a lot and one of my favorite things to eat is Ramen. This is by far the best Ramen I've had so far. Mark was my server and he was wonderful as well. Polite, attentive, and helpful. Definitely recommend.Food: 5/5

The service at Lloyd's restaurant is outstanding. Lloyd is a fantastic host and waiter, always friendly and kind. He was consistently attentive and available when we needed him. We plan to return at least once a month from now on, as this has become one of our favorite places with delicious food and exceptional service. Thank you, Lloyd, for providing such a wonderful experience; we will be back sooner rather than later.

Overall quality experience.The food was delicious, not the biggest portions but enough to fill you up. I ordered the shoyu ramen which did not disappoint. I also got a mango iced tea which complemented the ramen well. Great selection of ramen. The side dishes (gyoza and chicken) were not home runs. Not the best ramen I have had, but very good and would recommend.The atmosphere was very nice although they played 2000s pop hits which didn’t quite match the mood. The art is awesome tho.The service was friendly and fast, we came a little before 6 on a Saturday and had no wait but it filled up fast.

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon and found that it was not very busy. It took a while for our food to be served, and unfortunately, both the appetizers and main course were brought out at the same time. The Chicken Karaage was lacking in flavor and the accompanying sauce was not sufficient. The chicken wings were also soggy. However, the spicy miso ramen was enjoyable, although not the best I have had. Our server seemed a bit slow, but it may have been due to being the only one working.
