George's Hot Dogs - Chicago

I ordered a Chicago-style hot dog and it was topped with fresh tomatoes, onions, and a pickle. It was absolutely delicious! The bun held up perfectly—neither soggy nor mushy. I thought Portillo's would be my all-time hot dog spot and I thought it was the best but I cannot deny the fact that the hot dogs in this spot are good and can tied up the hot dogs of Portillo's. We recently went in here and we had a nice experience. The place is clean and the staff were friendly. There are a lot of good choices on their menu but we just decided to have their hot dogs. It was served hot and we did not wait for too long. Their hot dogs have a nice portion and it was delicious, something that we definitely want in this kind of fast food. Prices are also fair. This spot definitely is one of the best fast food in Chicago.

I had a fantastic hot dog that was bursting with flavor and generously topped. The French fries were fresh, crispy, and thick—just how I like them. Though the food took a bit to arrive, I suspect it was because everything was made to order. The gyro was also impressive, with a hearty portion size. I really appreciate this, and it’s why I keep coming back!

This is a classic mom-and-pop hot dog stand that has been in business for over 70 years. The service was good; I visited around 1:30 on a Friday afternoon, and although they were a bit busy, my wait for the order was about 15 minutes, which wasn’t too long. I ordered the 'Philly Steak,' and while it was a little greasy, it wasn’t excessive. Personally, I enjoy my Philly cheesesteaks with mushrooms, so I also treated myself to an order of their breaded mushrooms, along with some mozzarella sticks. It turned out to be a satisfying choice, providing enough food for my late lunch and most of my dinner as well. Everything was tasty! They have a small outdoor patio that was quite full when I arrived. Currently, masks are required, and I had read that they only accept cash, so I made sure to bring some with me.

Phenomenal hot dogs at a reasonable price, and the portions are delightfully large. The staff are kind and patient. I'll definitely be back.
