I didn't have veganaise with me today. The sandwich is good without it, but honestly, I think it's a must to have vegan mayo on this sandwich. My review from 2015: Surprisingly, pretty sweet! I am vegan and have never had a good banh mi sandwich until I tried this place. Every other place I had tried serving banh mi had dry, boring vegan sandwiches, and I had almost given up. On a whim, I decided to try banh mi here, and oh my goodness, I was impressed! I ordered the veggie spring rolls and the vegan banh mi sandwich. I loved the sandwich and really enjoyed the spring rolls. In addition to my sandwich, this time I brought my own vegan mayonnaise prepared (to use instead of the non-vegan mayonnaise, and to combat dry sandwiches;) the sandwich was so good that it didn't even need the vegan mayo. I will definitely be coming back here regularly. So delicious!
I only had the runway with a side dish. It was delicious. I will definitely return for the black mushroom soup and pho.
The appetizer rolls are large (like mini burritos) and incredibly tasty. The tofu is flavorful, the mushrooms are fantastic, and the noodles are perfectly portioned. The pho was a bit bland, but still delicious.
The food at this restaurant is consistently amazing in quality. The service is excellent as well. I highly recommend trying the lemon grass chicken bahn mi and beef pho - they're my favorites, but everything on the menu is great!
The BBQ pork banh mi is delicious, but the beef noodle soup is absolutely amazing. The traditional bone broth recipe really makes it stand out. Chef's kiss!
