Can't Believe It's Not Meat Hyde Park

Came to town for the Taste of Chicago and this, EASILY, was the best thing I've had for the trip... And they're weren't even at the Taste.It's hard to find places that can genuinely give you a good vegan/vegetarian burger outside of a black bean burger. I most definitely plan on going back before I leave and I'll most definitely make that trip from Florida to get my fix,lol.

The food at this restaurant is incredible and the service is very friendly. Just like the name suggests, you won't believe it's not meat!! The shakes tasted like they were made with real dairy. I ordered the chicken Philly sandwich and a strawberry shake.

Another we don 't give a damn about the customer dump in Chicago. Dirty, smelly place. Tables dirty. Staff ignored us whilst they had a verbal argument on speaker phone with a customer. On speakerphone so everyone could hear. They really are clueless. We ordered two burgers. After we waited 20mns she told us we only ordered one burger.? Victim blaming! We ordered two burgers she messed up the Order. She claimed she would discount another burger and another 20 min wait? Really? We want to eat together not at different times. The staff are incompetent and could not care less if they tried. Avoid this dump if you care about service and/or food.

I recently spent an afternoon in Hyde Park and discovered a hidden gem called Can’t Believe it’s Not Meat. This restaurant offers a unique twist on vegan food by featuring American style dishes instead of the traditional Thai options. The Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls were a standout, with delicious flavors and vegan cheese that elevated the dish. While slightly on the greasy side, they were a tasty treat. The Patty Melt was also a hit, with a flavorful pressed sandwich and crisp fries that were some of the best in the city. If the prices were slightly lower and the dishes a bit less greasy, I would give this place five stars. It's definitely worth a visit, and I hope they open a location in Irving Park soon. We will definitely be returning!
