Poor Richard's - Cheyenne

Arrived at around noon on a weekday. The waitress seated us in a booth and the place was nice and cozy. My wife and I both ordered a bison burger with sides. Our order arrived in short time and both were cooked perfectly and were tasty. Waitress was professional and prompt. Nice place and super good food will be back again when driving through Cheyenne.

Poor Richard’s is a hidden gem! The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is exceptional, and the ambiance has a nostalgic charm that feels like it's from a bygone era (in a good way)! We arrived at the restaurant around 6 PM on a Saturday without a reservation and were seated immediately. The menu featured many intriguing dishes, but we were all set on the bison sirloin and the soup of the day. The soup was a summer tomato soup, and it was incredible. We’ve tried various tomato soups around the world, but nothing compares to this one! It tasted like a wonderful warm Spanish gazpacho, but denser! If they were open tomorrow, I would return just for the soup! The bison was beautifully prepared with a rosemary rub, cooked exactly to our specifications; the medium-rare was just right, and the medium was perfectly pink! This was our first experience with bison sirloin, and we all loved it—similar in flavor to elk or moose. The prices were also very reasonable! Our only regret was that we ate too much!

It's great to be back at Poor Richard's! The salad bar is well-maintained and just as fresh as I remember. The dinner preparation is delicious, and the service remains excellent. Thank you for reopening to the public. Wishing you all the best during these challenging times.

Wow, what an incredible dining experience! This was truly one of the best meals I've ever had. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was outstanding.

We had 2 -16 oz Prime Rib and 1 Crusted Salmon they were absolutely delicious. The cuts of meat were Grade A prime, they were also true 16 oz if not more. The atmosphere was a truly classic steakhouse. The prices were consistent with any restaurants that takes pride in their cuisine. I would gladly go back anytime and give them my business.
