Bertucci's Italian - CHESTNUT HILL

I came here for our last minute anniversary dinner. We started off with the mussles. The first two I ate tasted great but the 3 after that were rotten. Absolutely disgusting. Nothing worse than spoiled seafood. I'm surprised I didnt get sick after. Then I ordered a shrimp scampi past with no tomatoes or hot peppers. My server told me it didnt come with hot peppers even though I was reading it off the menu. I got the pasta, it was filled with tomatoes...I spent 8 minutes picking them out. I finally go to take a bite and got hit with a wicked spice. So I told my server I didnt like the pasta and she sent the manager over. The manager asked what was wrong and I told her...I also told her the pasta was spicy and she told me that, that was because there was hot pepper in it, I told her I told the server I didnt want the hot pepper but she told me the pasta didnt come with hot pepper. The manager was nice about it and took the pasta off, the server was also nice and friendly, I was just very disappointed in the food. Maybe if the server wrote down the order instead of trying to memorize everything, maybe it would have came out correctly.

We are visiting in Boston and walked to this restaurant mainly to sit outside and enjoy the cooler weather. We had seen reviews that the service was slow but we didn’t care because we wanted to enjoy being outside and thought we could have a glass of wine while we waited. We were seated immediately and had a great dinner! The food was very good we loved the limoncello cake!! . Our waitress Niki short for Nikolai was excellent and took very good care of us. She came by several times to make sure everything was ok. It was an enjoyable evening. Vegetarian options: The roasted vegetable pizza was excellent

First Meatballs tasted awful and the next day they made me not feel great The only good thing about this place is the rolls and The ice cubes Pizza tasted awful

We were wondering about the food and service after reading several 'not so great ' reviews. We went to the Chestnut Hill location and our server, Micky, was super attentive and our order was delivered quickly. Nice patio, good wine and fine pizza. Prices were reasonable.

Mickeys service was great they food was excellent.. 9/10
