Perky Kettle - CHESTERLAND

On Mother's Day we were told immediately that the chef didn't show up and that the manager was cooking so it would be a little long for our food. Boy they weren't kidding!!! An hour and a half for tea and two scones!!! We couldn't wait any longer and had to leave. I was still hungry!!! Wanted it to be special. I should've heeded the reviews on Yelp. Never again will I be going here!!!!

Food was great. Had to wait on scones, but they were very warm and yummy when they arrived.

Were not ready for guests. They arrived the same time we did. It had snowed and nothing was cleaned off. We slopped through the slush then went back to our car. They should have been there much earlier to prepare.

I had booked a reservation for 3, and that Saturday there were 2 large parties and it was quite noisy. They had a large tea selection,, the ones we picked were tasty, The food was good. They ran out of most of the desserts. We had the macaroons and rum cake, which were also good. I felt bad for our waitress, she was the only one for the amount of people in the two rooms. She was very apologetic.

This was such a cute little place! They had two rooms for dining and we picked the Alice in Wonderland room. Food was really good and server was very attentive. We will definitely be going back!
