Wasabi Sushi - Chesterfield

The food was enjoyable, but if I were to nitpick, I did notice that there was a bit too much water on my Shumai plate, as if the chef had pulled the dumplings straight from the boiling water without allowing enough drainage, leading to some excess water pooling on the plate. Additionally, it would be helpful for someone to review their sushi menu; the printed paper menu mentioned the 'spicy' tuna roll, which was not included in the laminated menu with photos. Unfortunately, my roll turned out to be not spicy at all. Also, the spelling of Gunkan scallop changed to Kunkan on the laminated menu, which made locating it a bit confusing. However, I’m just being picky, and these issues didn’t really detract from my overall experience. The service during lunch was quite good. Although they were busy, I overheard a staff member mention they were "understaffed," which made my server seem a bit frantic. My check was brought by the hostess, which was a little odd. Despite that, my food arrived promptly, my water glass was constantly refilled, dirty dishes were cleared away quickly, and I didn’t have to ask for my check. I wasn’t in a rush, but if I had been, I would have appreciated that the entire meal took only about 30 minutes. I also ordered tea service, and my total came to around $35, including tip. They did offer a $10 lunch special that sounded decent, but I had something specific in mind and chose to order from the regular menu instead. Overall, this place is a solid choice for lunch.

I had an incredible time at the restaurant! There was a young lady with long hair at the front who truly impressed me. I love Wasabi, and we chose this location to celebrate my mother's birthday. She was incredibly helpful and seemed to handle everything—she was our hostess, bartender, and even served us at times. She was very polite and kept bringing my boyfriend cold beers. Our main server seemed a bit new as he forgot several things, didn’t introduce himself, and rarely checked on us, but she definitely made up for it. Apart from her stellar service, the food was fantastic! For dessert, we were treated to these AMAZING green tea cheesecake balls rolled in coconut and dipped in dark chocolate—absolutely heavenly! I'm not sure if they offer these at every location, but if they don’t, you must visit this one just for that dessert.

Overall, the experience was just okay. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't quite meet my expectations either. I ordered a Geisha and a DFG, both of which were good, but I found myself losing interest halfway through. The Nigiri was enjoyable, though the eel had a distinctly different flavor compared to what I've had elsewhere. The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant, so it was a decent experience overall.

Extensive cooked to order buffet menu. Special lunch time menu available too. Really love their sashimi! Super fresh and tasty!

We have been going here since the the opening day. Always good food.. Our 4 year old granddaughter loves it here. And has been going since she was able to join in the fun of eating here. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. If you want something but don't like a particular sauce no problem. Have it plain. Allergy tell them they make sure you are ok to eat the dish you fancy. We have never had a bad experience here. And always love are chats with the owners
