Beautiful atmosphere with great food and friendly fast service.

We wanted another chance to use spedeini fixedly. last week at the location ellisville were several items that we tried to order were not available. but this time it was a success. for happy hour we ordered a design beer and shared the delicious ahi tuna appetizer. the chicken parmesan spedeini and the mahi mahi spedeini were both unique, but the latter was a little overboiled. our server, carry, was great.

The appetizers were good. the evening meal was fair. spiedini ladue was bland as was crab crust crusted cod - too much spoiled brot.

Upon entering, there were no other customers in line ahead of us and no host to greet us either. A worker finally came up front, but told us someone else would be there shortly to help us. This person went off to clean tables and didn't attempt to find any other workers to seat us. After about 10 minutes we were finally greeted by someone else who sat us at a table. The waiter had a pleasant enough attitude the entire time, but was very slow in taking our food order, bringing food to the table, bringing our bill, etc. When not serving food, he disappeared the entire time into the kitchen area. When the food did finally arrive, it was a huge disappointment. I had steak, baked potato, and french onion soup. The steak was so room temp, it's as if it had been cooked hours earlier and just sitting out waiting to be served. It was overcooked and not tender at all. The butter I put on my baked potato didn't even melt. I question if there's a manager there at all. Very few customers, very few workers and just unfortunate because the menu seems great and the atmosphere is wonderful.
