Umi - Chester

If you are looking for decent Asian food in Chester, this is a good option. You don't have an online order system that's annoying, let's be honest. You need to call and talk to someone with broken English, online would take this away and provide a great experience for the customer. But my food was punctual, decent and affordable.

Yesterday in a mood. I generally eat less than six times a year. I am currently with a dilemma as if I should do it two days in the Lol series. It was phenomenal! I had Hibachi two times in my life last night and found it a bit overrated. This place is a completely different story. I'm not a veggie eater and usually take any chance I get on the occasions when I dive out, but I ate everything and enjoyed it. People were very polite and I could see a steady stream of people who ordered and pick up. I feel very happy to live less than a mile away. I will return and recommend.

Thanks to the other Google reviewers I had a chance at this place for a friend's birthday dinner and it was amazing. The service was fast, our server was friendly and knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. The sushi was delicious and fresh, the egg drop soup was light and tasty and the Hibachi portions are fantastic. I didn't want to stop eating. The restaurant was really picturesque and not crowded. However, the take-out had stopped and people were always in and out fast. No one I saw waited more than 5 or 10 minutes for an order. This is definitely the best sushi in Chester, maybe even the best Japanese food in SC.

Oh, my God! Best restaurant in Chester! Large selection of Japanese and Chinese dishes, but the sushi is what I'm coming. Many options to come back and try more!

Pleasantly surprised. We just moved to the area and love sushi but didn't expect there to be anything decent in Chester. Had to try this place out because of the great ratings! Food came fast and sushi was refreshing!
