Hibachi Ichiban - Chester

When I ordered my steak medium, it arrived overcooked. The chicken was so tough and dry that it was inedible. The takeout box was filled primarily with rice, had very few vegetables, and some noodles, all drenched in an overwhelming amount of a harsh teriyaki sauce. I actually felt the need to apologize to my family for choosing this place for dinner. Additionally, the person who answered the phone was not very friendly and made me feel like I was bothering him by placing an order, although my husband reported that the staff was nice when he picked up the food. I’m giving 2 stars only for the decent, reusable containers with lids, but overall, it was a waste of $60. I really regret not checking the reviews beforehand.

Have ordered the takeout for a few years and was really good. The last two takeouts were terrible! The chicken was dried. Hardly any vegetables and the whole meal was saturated with salty sauce!

The restaurant seemed preoccupied with handling door lock warrants, which was quite distracting. Inside, the tables were dirty and scattered, later filled with diners. We were informed it would take at least 30 minutes for our food, which was fine since we work in the industry. We ended up spending over $50 for three people. Our meal included a salad that was just iceberg lettuce and dressing. Sadly, the beverage machine was broken, so we could only choose bottled drinks. When our food finally arrived after 45 minutes, it was lukewarm and definitely not worth the wait. The sauce on the chicken was not even listed on the menu and gave it a sour yet sickly sweet taste. The only bright spot was that we all ordered the chicken steak combo, and the steak was absolutely delicious, untainted by the sauce. However, it was supposed to come with fried rice but instead was served with plain white rice and some pasta that tasted like Chinese lo mein. It seems they are trying to take on too much at once, which negatively impacts the quality of the food. Additionally, the dining area feels more like a fast-food setup than a comfortable dining experience.

Today’s visit was a bit disappointing. We usually love this place for its hibachi, but it seems like they're struggling in the post-COVID-19 world. Many items were unavailable, and even their well was down. Despite this, the food was still delicious. I encourage you to give them a visit; hopefully, they can pull through this tough time!

I have never been more displeased with a hibachi restaurant. From the call in order with the angry cashier I should have ran in the opposite direction. ?Hibachi can you hold, you want three? What else?? Is not a kind way to treat a paying customer. My granddaughter and I walk in to the establishment with food remnants and pieces of trash spewed along the floor. Not only is the service poor but the prices are lies. We expected $8 each meal but we left paying $12! We collect our sad food and eat at home. The salad they scrape together was the worst salad I?ve had and the sauce for my meal was sour. This entire meal was unappetizing along with the spaghetti noodles they use. Please do not eat here. It?s absolutely disgusting. My granddaughter cried for twenty minutes after consuming this slop because she was so excited to eat it. Please get your act together ichiban, we will NOT return.
