The Waiting Room Lounge

Nice environment to relax and enjoy two for one drinks in the afternoon from Monday through to Thursday, between three and five o’clock.really. Comfortable seating to sink into.

Situated in the picturesque Queens hotel directly opposite Chester Railway Station The waiting room evokes a time gone by when travelers on the Railway would have awaited departure The original partition between 1st and 2nd Class travelers exists The main bar is a large and spacious bar the snug is served via a small access panel The food is typically bar food mainly burgers , Sandwiches etc but is freshly cooked and perfectly nice The Waiting room is a stylish and elegant place to drink or dine

I arrived too early to check in at the hotel, so I settled down in the bar and enjoyed a late lunch and some good cider whilst I did a bit of work.

Quick drink in here on the way back to the train station, which is opposite this bar. Nicely set up, background music and good service.

I’ve been to the Waiting Room 2 or 3 times over the last couple of months, but on Saturday afternoon around 14:30, we found the doors to be locked. We could see plenty of people inside, so I can only assume it was a private function. Okay, well, if you are going to hold private functions and lock the doors, then maybe put up a sign on the door saying so ?
